Steph and Alex’s wedding at Colshaw Hall was a truly amazing day. Nestled in the heart of Cheshire, near Knutsford, Colshaw Hall is a visually stunning venue that offers a perfect setting for capturing beautiful wedding photography. As a photographer who has been to Colshaw Hall many times, I appreciate its unique features, like the separate civil ceremony room, reception building, and picturesque gardens with a bridge over a lake and the backdrop of an old hall.
We were fortunate to have dry weather throughout the day and the invaluable assistance of Toastmaster Jason, who ensured everything ran smoothly. Steph and Alex are a wonderful couple, and having met them during their free pre-wedding shoot, I was eagerly looking forward to their big day at Colshaw Hall.
Bridal preparations went smoothly, with Steph’s bridesmaids, dressed in red, effortlessly spreading joy and laughter. Meanwhile, groom Alex and his groomsmen enjoyed the perks of Colshaw Hall’s “The Den,” featuring table tennis and a bar – everything a groom’s party could ask for!
The staff at Colshaw Hall went above and beyond, assisting Steph with her dress, demonstrating exceptional service. Following an emotional ceremony filled with tears from the family, it was time for photos. One of the most unique group shots in my 25 years of professional wedding photography was Steph, the big sister, with her six younger brothers – including a set of twins!
After some heartfelt speeches, the celebrations continued with lively dancing. It seemed like everyone joined in, creating an atmosphere full of laughter, smiles, and energy. The party carried on well into the night, and we captured some stunning night shots before my coverage of Steph and Alex’s wedding came to an end.
I want to extend a big thank you to Steph and Alex, as well as their families, for making the day such a pleasure to be a part of. Colshaw Hall provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable day, and the joy and love shared by everyone present truly shone through in the wedding photography.
