Pre-wedding venue visit

Holmes Mill has so many distinct spaces I visited ahead of the wedding to plan the photography — the Engine Room, the Cotton Mill, the double-decker bus, the brick and metal textures throughout. The team were helpful and friendly from the start.

Bridal prep at Holmes Mill

I arrived to a hive of activity at Toni’s prep — bridesmaids, makeup, hair and a rainbow-themed colour palette that worked beautifully against the industrial backdrop.

Ceremony in the Cotton Mill

The ceremony in the restored Cotton Mill space was atmospheric — the mix of restored industrial heritage and modern wedding finish makes for some of the most distinctive ceremony photography I’ve shot in the North West.

Engine Room and double-decker bus portraits

For couple portraits we worked the Engine Room (a brilliant backdrop), the brickwork and metalwork throughout, and the old double-decker bus on site — Toni and Trev gave me lots of creative latitude.

Wedding breakfast, speeches and the evening

The wedding breakfast suite was beautiful, speeches were warm, and the evening dance floor turned into a brilliant celebration.
