Toni and Trev’s awesome wedding day was at Holmes Mill in Clitheroe in the county of Lanacashire .
A small and pictuesque town. Holmes Mill is a former textile mill which has been restored with real care and shows a lot of history ,
It is many options with a cotton mill where the ceremony for Toni and Trev took place a beautiful suite for the wedding breakfast and a engine room which certainly features in the wedding images
Oh and a old double decker bus . All this and lots of bedrooms for guests to stay .
I was impressed with Holmes Mill !
Holmes mill has very friendly and helpful staff , I found this out on my visit to check ott the photo spots in a planning day
and on Toni and Trev’s wedding day .

The Wedding Day
I arrived at Hoolmes mill for bride prep to meet Toni and her bridesmaids with a hive of activity .
There was hair and make up being done , Toni at her mum and her grandma sat watching on with all the little flowergirls arriving and getting dressed in
their green dresses ,
There was some tears and nerves recorded and a lovely meeting in the room between bride and her dad
Before the ceremony which was in one of the most photogenic and unique rooms for a wedding ceremony .
Toni had gone for an epic 1950’s look and she looked so beautiful , not seen that much of that era at a wedding .
Then it was time for confetti , photos and a trip to the engine room .
I have to say this is great for modern wedding photography with the wheels and pistons etc..
After images of the couple we were about to do the small group images of bridesmaids and family
and exactly what the couple asked for .
But it started raining , a brief small lancashire shower nothing too much to worry about .
So we stayed inside with Toni stating I dont want to get wet !
As she said this I felt by the doorway the sun on my arm and I turned around to squint as the sun was out and it was raining
at the same time .
Having seen this before I thought no way could this happen again .
YES !!
A Rainbow !!
and soon as the rain dropped off we were out .
Weddings and Rainbows this is something special !
I have been lucky before but always great to grab a Rainbow Shot !!
After the drinks reception in the Bistro it was time for the wedding breakfast
and the emotional speeches
Just 2 , father of the bride and the groom
Father of the bride was first with an emotional speech
well it looked emotional for the lovely
bride of the day as she hide her face from view and then a more fun speech by the happy
groom of the day Trev . There was certainly a lot of love in the room at this fab wedding
laughs and humour which all made for great natural moments to capture .
In the evening there was time for Silhouettes and sparklers which were themed to the wedding day at Holmes Mill
and then the dancing and great fun on the dancefloor !
And then my coverage ended at Holmes Mill and it was a great pleasure to help Toni and Trev on their special day .
