Best in the business. Me and my partner met Rick at one of Shrigley Hall wedding fairs and after looking at his photo books on display knew he was exactly what we wanted. We managed to book in with Rick in advance which was amazing. We managed to have a preshoot with Rick where he chose a really pretty location and allowed us to bring our dog as she wasn’t able to be part of our wedding day. The pictures came through after editing and they were amazing. Fast forward to our wedding day and all I can say is he is the best in the business. From the morning of the wedding he made me and my girls feel so calm and took lots of pictures throughout the getting ready process even including my little niece who loved being in the camera. He managed to split the time between me and my partner as we wanted getting ready pictures with the bridesmaids and the grooms men which we thought was important. We set out a plan of the photos we want and I’m so excited to see all of our pictures from the day. He went above and beyond to get what pictures we wanted and added a few extra from different points of the venue which we didn’t think about.

We really can’t thank you enough for being part of our special day.

Wedding day at The Oak Tree Of Peover

There are some incredible standout images .

We hired Rick to photograph our February 2025 wedding at the Oak Tree at Peover, and were really impressed by both his approach before and on the day, and the final output.

Rick invited us to an Engagement Shoot a few months ahead of the wedding. This not only gave us some fantastic shots, but it also helped us be more relaxed when having pictures taken. Rick’s approach really helped set us at ease, and helped us get the most out of the pictures. The session also helped showcase some of Rick’s photography techniques,

Closer to the wedding, we met with Rick in his home studio to discuss our timetable and plans for the wedding day itself. Rick’s approach here really helped build on our ideas, with Rick building on his experience of what works best to ensure the images captured would be the best they could be – for example, we were looking to give guests tubes of bubbles instead of confetti, but Rick advised us to supplement these with bubble machines so as to have the maximum impact – and this really showed in the final pictures.

Shortly before the day, Rick also visited the venue to familiarise himself, and plan for some specific shots. This led to some fantastic photos utilising the outside space, and reflections across the lake. Doing this, as well as building on our own ideas from having looked around the venue, made sure we got all the pictures we wanted, as well as some phenomenal pictures we had not even considered possible!

We also went with a second photographer (Peter), who Rick arranged for us. But more than having good contacts to bring in an excellent second photographer, Rick also advised us on how to get the most out of them. Advice like this was really important to us, and definitely informed our plans for our guests.
Rick and Peter blended in seamlessly during the day, and were able to get some really innovative angles and shots, as well as the more traditional posed photographs. Some of the pictures taken caught us in candid moments, that created some hilarious pictures (which whilst they won’t go in the album, will definitely be printed for our own memories!) which illustrate just how relaxed we both were, and how easy Rick was to work with.

There are some incredible standout images that Rick was able to arrange and capture, utilising sparklers

, reflections across the lake, colour filters  and the final results show that choosing to work with Rick was absolutely the right decision for our wedding. We would gladly recommend Rick to anyone getting married in the area, and it is easy to see why Rick is a (richly deserved) multi-year Hitched award winning photographer!

Friendly and full of energy!

Well what can we say….rick is amazing he totally blended in with our guests at our wedding he is friendly and full of energy! Went out of his way to do everything we wanted plus much more! He looked very smart on our wedding day and was fantastic to get along with! We would highly recommend rick to anyone wanting a photographer. We got our photos back from him today and well they are awesome! Thanks again rick for everything it’s been an absolute pleasure.

We honestly can’t recommend Rick enough for his professionalism and humour .

Rick is a pleasure to know and an absolute delight to work with.

We first met him at a wedding fair, and from this moment we knew we wanted him to take our wedding photographs.

He put us at ease during our big day and kept us laughing. Prior to the wedding day, he did a pre-wedding shoot so he could get to know us better, and also to get us used to being in front of a camera.

We honestly can’t recommend Rick enough for his professionalism and humour and if we ever need a photo shoot again, Rick will be the first person we call.

The weather wasn’t the best but Rick’s expertise over came any issues and actually enhanced the quality of the photos.

Rick was our wedding photographer for our big day in May . He offers an impeccable service all the way from introductions to getting your wedding photo’s. We had a pre wedding shoot which was included in the package and a pre wedding meeting to discuss exactly what photo’s we wanted. Rick knew our wedding venue very well so he knew where to take the best shots.
On the day we had a mixture of natural and posed photo’s. The weather wasn’t the best but Rick’s expertise over came any issues and actually enhanced the quality of the photos.
Rick worked tirelessly to capture the whole day from early in the morning through to the evening. The quality of the photo’s and the finished wedding album are fantastic and he captured the day perfectly.
We are very pleased with the service Rick gave and we would highly recommend him to anyone.

We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer! From our first meeting, Rick made us feel comfortable and understood exactly what we wanted, with regular communication and updates.

We were very lucky to have Rick photograph our wedding at the beautiful shrigley hall. Rick was amazing, from start to finish, from enquiry stage, to pre wedding shoot, answering my questions in between and most of all, made us feel so at ease on our wedding day. He is so friendly and went at our pace, during the ceremony and reception you didn’t even realise he was there, taking photos in the background and captured some beautiful memories. So good I used him twice !

I first used Rick for my wedding in 1997 when he was a young lad starting out, he was very friendly and professional and knew what he was doing. The pictures were fantastic and of great quality. However that wedding didn’t last, when I come to get married again in 2022. I instantly though of Rick he was very professional and friendly we went and had a chat about our expectations and what we wanted. Rick went and had a look at our venue before our wedding day as he hadn’t been there before, so he could get some ideas of best shots to save time on the day. We received our pictures not long after we returned from honeymoon the pictures were great and a beautiful reminder of our special day.
Couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and would highly recommend.

He is so friendly and personable

Could not love our experience with Rick more. He is so friendly and personable and makes the effort to get to know you as clients which helps make your day so much more special, the images he got of our wedding are amazing and will be treasured forever. Absolutely amazing photos and such a lovely and pleasant experience with Rick, he is also really quick at the getting the images back to you so we didn’t have to wait long to see the images he had captured of our day!

Most brilliant ideas to help make magic moments on our day.

Rick was absolutely amazing, he came up with the most brilliant ideas to help make magic moments on our day. The images he took even managed to go semi viral on local groups with the amazing unique things he took pictures of! Cannot rate him high enough! Amazing photographer! I was very nervous on my wedding day and Rick really helped calm me down by talking to me and asking what would help and we took a break and did a few more photos with just me and my husband away from everyone and i was able to come back in and calm down.

Absolutely brilliant would highly recommend, especially for the more anxious bride as he really understood!

He is so easy going and friendly, it felt like we’d known him years!

Rick has been absolutely amazing during the run up to our wedding. We had a great pre-wedding photo shoot with him where he put us at ease so quickly! We loved the photos and the time spent chatting with Rick. He is so easy going and friendly, it felt like we’d known him years! We were nervous about the photos and Rick managed to turn this around for us and on the big day we were not worried at all! Rick arrived on time and got to work straight away as he knew everything we wanted. Wedding day at Shrigley Hall

He took a very personal approach

Rick has been fantastic to work with. He took a very personal approach to myself and my husband. We first met him at the Shrigley Hall Wedding Fair and my husband chose him because he loved the quality of images and Rick’s pride in his work. He was really communicative and we had a really positive pre-wedding shoot, which gave me great faith, as I hate being photographed. Rick took time to put us at ease and compliment us. He won us over completely and on the day was incredibly supportive and caring. He also took control of the situation really well because our emotions were high. From the bottom of our hearts, we were so delighted with the pictures and the quality. We have struggled to narrow it down to the required images for the album; there are just so many to chose from. A magical day represented by a superb photographer.

The search for a good photographer can be a minefield, my new wife and I can easily say we found an absolute gem with Rick.
Not only is he personable and an all round lovely person, but his eye for details is breath-taking. We had a fantastic pre-shoot with Rick which was designed to get us use to the camera which in its own right says all you need to know about how much attention to detail he shows, we received some of the most amazing photos from this pre-shoot well in advance of our big day.
Rick was so attentive to our needs and requirements and my new wife was initially hesitant to have photos at her hotel the morning off, but after meeting Rick she was immediately reassured. As you can probably tell, we cannot recommend Rick enough. The big day he wasn’t pushy, bossy or demanding like many photographers we have seen at other weddings, he had planned his day (even attended the venue in advance) to ensure smooth running.

Rick, Amy and I want to thankyou from the bottom of our hearts! the photos are stunning, and we are over the moon with you, your services and everything you have done for us. Much love to you and the family and all the best for 2025!

Rick is a great photographer and we are so pleased that we chose him to take pictures of our special day!

From start to finish, I could not fault a thing. The engagement photoshoot was useful as it helped us get to know him better and the meeting we had a few weeks before the wedding day was really good as it helped us all get our head around how the day would go. He also came up with some inventive and creative ideas that we decided to do on the day.

On the wedding day itself, Rick got lots of amazing shots and a number of guests have commented on how friendly and professional he was. We have received the official photographs back from Rick and there are so many good ones to choose from – I can’t wait to share them with everyone! I would 100% recommend Rick for your special day.

Outstanding professionalism and truly great photography!

Rick is amazing! We would never go anywhere else for photos now, and consider Rick the best! From the first day we met him over two years ago, we knew he was the right photographer for us for our wedding day. Always professional and with great suggestions, our first meeting with Rick showed us how friendly he was and so supportive in what we envisioned. We had to change our date three times, and on all occasions, he was so wonderful and made the moves so smooth and easy for us. We managed to get our pre-wedding shoot in with Rick before lockdown in 2020 and it was a wonderful morning just chatting and getting lots of natural photos which we were over the moon with. We made a vast list of who we wanted photos with on the day and where we wanted them as well! Rick knows Mere Court where we got married really well, so we knew this was a bonus! From the second Rick stepped in to the hotel on the morning of our wedding, he made us all feel really comfortable, happy and excited! The photos are just so incredible and really do speak a thousand words! The thought, detail and care gone into each photo is outstanding, and we are just so happy with every single one of them! Wedding day at Peckfortan Castle .

Rick photographed our wedding in February and honestly we could not have asked for a better person to capture our special day! Rick’s attention to detail is spectacular, his photographs are stunning and he offers the very best service from start to finish. We had Rick for our photographer after much searching through the internet and also wedding magazines. On meeting him and seeing how knowledgeable he was and the quality of the work he produced, our minds were made up.

We were not disappointed.

Not only was he friendly, funny and so good at putting everybody at ease (it was like he wasn’t even in the room with us at times), the pictures we have received from him are simply fantastic.
