Bridal prep in Royton
The day began with bridal prep at Megan’s parents’ house in Royton — calm and happy amid the usual hive of activity. The emerald green theme came through in the bridesmaids’ dresses, and Bucks Fizz flowed in celebration.
Up into the hills to the White Hart
I drove up into the hills to find Corey and his groomsmen at The White Hart Inn at Lydgate. The location feels like a proper escape — blue skies, breathtaking views, and a charming little Fiat that appeared for some fun photographs.
An unusually warm March wedding day
March 26th turned out unusually warm — possibly the hottest March day I’ve ever experienced during a wedding. Megan arrived in a fabulous wedding car with her proud dad. Their adorable one-year-old daughter Paisley led the bridal party up the aisle in her cute green dress.
Ceremony and emerald green theme
The ceremony was heartfelt; smiles exchanged, wedding rings exchanged — properly emotional. The emerald green theme worked beautifully against the natural Saddleworth hills.
Couple portraits with Manchester panoramas
The views from The White Hart Inn at Lydgate are extraordinary — panoramas of Manchester, Oldham and the surrounding areas. We worked the gardens for the drinks reception and made the most of the panoramic views for couple portraits.
Speeches, dark green night images and the first dance
The speeches were full of laughter, smiles and tears. Later in the evening we captured stunning dark green night images that picked up the colour theme. The first dance, Megan’s emotional dance with her father, and the lively dance floor showcased the incredible energy in the room.
