The Day
Having met Kaley and Tom on their pre-wedding shoot, I knew I would capture many natural, fun moments during their big day. Unfortunately, like many weddings, their special day had to be rescheduled due to Covid lockdowns and government restrictions. This was an emotional and difficult time for everyone involved, especially the couples who just wanted to get married.
Thankfully, we were blessed with great weather on the rescheduled wedding day at Mere Court Hotel. The bright, sunny, and dry conditions allowed for an outdoor civil ceremony, which made for fantastic photos. Before arriving at the venue, I joined Kaley and her team at her house in Stockport, where I met Danielle Horan, one of the best makeup artists I have ever worked with. The atmosphere was calm and friendly, but filled with excitement and anticipation.
At Mere Court Hotel, the outdoor area and wedding breakfast suite were professionally and beautifully decorated by Perfect Weddings in Altrincham. I met Tom and his groomsmen, who were all happy and looking forward to the day ahead. Kaley arrived in an amazing dress with her dad in a Horgan’s car, accompanied by lovely flowers. Horgan’s is another service I highly recommend for exceptional wedding car service.
One of my favorite natural moments of the day was Kaley walking down the aisle, laughing with her dad until the ceremony began. After the ceremony, we took advantage of the picturesque gardens for romantic and fun group shots. I always ensure that couples receive all the images they want, agreed upon before the big day.
The wedding featured an incredible cake by Bloomsbury Wedding Cakes, followed by hilarious speeches that had everyone in stitches. There were even two cakes to celebrate Lewis’s first birthday, the nephew of the couple! The evening was filled with lots of dancing and, of course, some stunning night photos.
