Emily and Lewis’s wedding day at Heaton House Farm
A working farm wedding with the cows
A big factor in why Emily and Lewis booked Heaton House Farm was so they could visit the cows on their wedding day. And we certainly did — thanks to the helpful and friendly Heath family. The couple even had table names of the different breeds of cows.
Blue-sky January wedding day
Emily and Lewis’s wedding day was in January and we were lucky with a clear blue sky day — no clouds, no rain, not too cold during the daytime (can’t say the same for the evening).
Early morning mist and bridal prep
The day began with calm bridal prep for Emily with her three bridesmaids. Beautiful soft morning light, an early morning mist on the fields and a relaxed atmosphere.
Emotional ceremony at Heaton House Farm
The civil ceremony at Heaton House Farm was full of tears and smiles. Emily’s grandparents helped escort her up the aisle to meet Lewis and provided a timely tissue or two.
Gardens, cows and a Cheshire sunset
After the ceremony we worked the gardens with amazing winter light — pure blue sky and a low sun. We took more time for photos with the cows out in the field. I also got lucky with an unplanned sunset coming down over the fields.
Buffet reception, speeches and the evening
Emily and Lewis chose a buffet with a wide choice for their guests. The speeches all delivered laughs and humour and maybe some embarrassing stories about Lewis from his best man. The evening continued with sparkler action, shots at the bar and lots of dancing.
Thank you Emily and Lewis — congratulations to you both, and thank you to the Heath family for being such brilliant hosts.
