Laura and Jonny’s wedding day at The Pinewood On Wilmslow was a long-awaited celebration that finally took place earlier this year. After two date changes due to Covid restrictions and lockdowns, the couple deserved the fantastic weather they were blessed with on their special day. The sun shone brightly, ensuring there was no chance of rain to dampen their spirits.
My coverage of the event was enhanced by my good friend Pete, who provided a second angle as a second photographer. This allowed us to simultaneously capture the bride’s preparations with Laura and her bridesmaids, as well as the groom’s preparations with Jonny, both at The Pinewood on Wilmslow. Having two photographers also helped us capture different angles during the ceremony and speeches.
The Pinewood On Wilmslow is a venue I always enjoy visiting, as it is just 1.5 miles from my house, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two bridesmaids setting up an impressive wall of crisps – no one would be going hungry at this wedding!
The bride, Laura, and her four bridesmaids were busy with hair and makeup, while the couple’s adorable baby lay on the bed, completely oblivious to the hustle and bustle around him. The ceremony, officiated by Cheshire East registrars, began with an emotional entrance, after which everyone stepped outside to enjoy the sunny April day.
The Pinewood’s gardens offered excellent photo opportunities, with the deckchairs adding a unique and photogenic touch. We made sure to capture memorable moments with Laura and Jonny and their guests, taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings.
The speeches were a highlight, filled with laughter and entertaining reactions from those in attendance. The best man had an array of props and delivered an outstanding roast of Jonny, much to everyone’s amusement.
Later, guests enjoyed dancing and a heart-warming father-daughter dance. The day’s coverage concluded with night images and more dancing, capping off a fantastic wedding day at The Pinewood on Wilmslow.
