A Brief History of Colshaw Hall
Colshaw Hall has a rich history, with its construction dating back to 1903. The Peel family initially owned the property, and in 2001, the Irlam family purchased it, transforming it into a stunning wedding venue. Today, Colshaw Hall offers a main hall, dining hall, gorgeous gardens with a bridge, and a separate free-standing hall for wedding ceremonies. With its photogenic surroundings and a dedicated team, Colshaw Hall is a dream location for any wedding.
Pre-Wedding Moments and The Big Day
I had the pleasure of meeting Izzy and Dan during their pre-wedding shoot and meeting. From the very beginning, I knew their wedding day at Colshaw Hall would be a fantastic celebration.
On the day, I joined Izzy, her five bridesmaids, and her mother for bridal preparations at Colshaw Hall. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as everyone prepared for the upcoming ceremony. In contrast, Dan and his groomsmen enjoyed The Den, Colshaw Hall’s unique space featuring a bar, table tennis, and table football – a perfect retreat for the groom and his party.
As the day unfolded, I switched between capturing the bride and groom’s preparations and the ceremony. The ceremony was filled with emotional moments, followed by the fun and joy of confetti throwing. I was able to capture some of my favourite images of the year in the gardens, showcasing the love and happiness shared by Izzy and Dan.
Working alongside Dave from Rich TV, a highly recommended videographer with over 20 years of experience, we documented every moment of this beautiful wedding day at Colshaw Hall. The bridesmaids, dressed in a modern sage green, and the adorable flower girl added a touch of elegance to the day.
The speeches were heartfelt, with parents sharing their love and pride, and the two best men delivering laughs and unforgettable memories. As the evening progressed, guests filled the dance floor, and the night ended with a magical sparkler celebration.
