Molly And Paul’s Epic Wedding Day At Shrigley Hall Hotel was amazing , fun packed and a brilliant wedding day from start to finish .
And I was lucky to meet and help this fantastic couple with lots of personality .
Having done there pre wedding shoot and got to know more Molly and Paul I was look forward to their wedding day at Shrigley Hall Hotel .
Bride Mollys kind review left on hitched .
5.0 star for service , response professionalism , value for money , flexability and quality of service.
Unreal service !
The Hotels name Shrigley Hall comes from the original owners the De Shrigley’s. The Hall was passed down by marriage to the Downes family in the 14th century who resided on the estate for over 300 years.
In 1818, the estate was sold to the former MP for Blackburn, William Turner, with the present hall built, in 1825.
William Turner had only one heiress, his daughter Ellen Turner. In 1826, whilst only fifteen years of age, she was at the centre of one of the most outrageous cases of abduction that has been chronicled.
Ellen, who later married Thomas Legh, died at the age of 19 after giving birth to their only child Ellen Jane.
Ellen Jane inherited Shrigley from her grandfather and later married the Reverend Brabazon Lowther. The two lived at Shrigley Hall until he died on the 30th December 1877, with Ellen passing away during November 1906. Their son William subsequently inherited the estate.
Today many of the suites Turner , Brabazon are named after its history and this old building has 2 amazing and very different wedding suites well over 100 bedrooms , amazing spacious suites for brides prep and the most photogenic staircase which is very important in winter and with poor weather for any wedding day .
It also has a great team of friendly staff .
Molly and Pauls Epic Wedding Day
I started this awesome day at Shrigley Hall Hotel with brides prep arriving to blue sky , sun a cheery and escited Molly with her 6 bridesmaids which wear 6 different colours of dress.
And a wedding in a very stylish 1920’s themed wedding , dresses all had they theme
There was the usual hive of activity with make up and hair and I have to say in a very large room with lots of space for Molly . hair stylist 2 make up artists , 6 bridesmaids , a brides man , brides mum and myself .
Paul was with the lads and the bar and was enjoying over 20 degree sunshine , I might make a small reference i was not only pleased that I was helping Molly and Paul a really great couple couple and full of smiles all day
it was sunny all day which was great as I was feeling a bit older on 2nd Septemeber as I do every year on that date !! LOL !
Another reference to help the day for the couple go so well was they had Eamon and the Shigley Hall Hotel team to look after them and they are brill !
There was certainly an emotional moment when Mollys dad first set eyes on Molly looking so beautiful in her dress !
The walk down to the ceremony was photogenic with Shrigley Hall’s superb staircase and Your Cermony , the east chehire registration staff conducted the ceremony with professionalism but also they were friendly and relaxed
which always helps everyone .
There was emotion in the ceremony as well as many laughs and smiles .
Molly and Paul had gone for a Black , Yellow with some orange in their color scheme which simply looked awesome and different in the wedding suites .
Instead of White table clothes something different .
After the ceremony in was time for photographs which were fun and creative , I always try to capture the couples personalitys naturally
with all weddings I undertake and I did for Molly and Paul capturing there sense of fun with smiles all day
and there was a real natural and relaxed feel to these images below .
Made even more fun and natural with the speeches which were suitably embarrassing for Molly first with her Dad’s speech , I actually found it hard to keep
my camera straight as he went head first into a humour s speech at Molly’s great expense ! Often having her face covered by her hands as secrets were revealed from
Molly’s childhood .
Paul also delivered a great speech which was emotional and the best man also .
Then which was almost a surprise to me but I was told just a bit before we had 2 amazing singing waiters .
The dance around the room involving most guests or singing by guests were great but my highlight was the napkin duel between Molly and Paul !
And it did look like Molly won !! A stronger napkin technique .
After all this I would of been very happy with the wedding images of the wedding day at Shigley Hall Hotel
I had lots of creative and natural images .
But ! But ! there was a superb and very photogenic sunset which filled the front of Shrigley Hall
WOW !
Orange sky and silhouetts .
There was also a special bride grandad dance with hardly a dry eye in the house before the magical first dance
and a cake cutting , another fab cake by Yvonne .
We had some night images and fun sparkler action .
And then it was time for my coverage to finish at Molly and Paul’s Epic Wedding day at Shrigley Hall Hotel .
What a great great pleasure it was to help this amazing couple and thank you for having me on your wedding day .
