Amy and Ben’s Wedding at St Thomas Church in Mellor and Hassop Hall in Derbyshire was a brilliant wedding day despite the early threat of some bad weather.
Both venues were very photogenic , St Thomas’s Church in Mellor is high up on the a hill with beautiful views and Hassop Hall with its very classy old interiors dating over 900 years and glorious gardens .
Having photographed Amy’s stunning dress and captured the atmosphere of the brides preparation’s I found Ben with his groomsmen and also with his sister who had come from New Zealand especially for the wedding day at Mellor Church .
Then Amy’s nephews and nieces arrived , all TEN of them as Page boys and flower girls .
Amy was the youngest of 5 .
I love photographing kids , which was a good job I certainly had plenty of opportunities to capture many natural images of the ten.
We got lucky with the weather and I was able to capture many images at Hassop Hall outside .
Then Amy and Ben were able to spend over 45 minutes socialising with their guests in the many rooms at Hassop Hall.
The speeches were totally hilarious with many original jokes and humour especially from the Best man.[ great reactions on images below ]
The day ended with a rock band wearing wigs and lots of dancing, also a sweep stake on the 1st dance which everyone got wrong.
It was a wonderful wedding day and a pleasure to help 2 really lovely people on their Wedding day.
