A local wedding venue I know intimately

Oddfellows is two miles from my house and I’ve spent years in Bruntwood Park with my family — when you know a venue like this you can move faster and find better light in every season.

NYE bridal prep at Oddfellows

I arrived to a Christmas-decorated Oddfellows with friendly staff and met Jemma with her four bridesmaids and Mum. Happy, excited atmosphere — makeup artist, hairdresser, last-minute ironing and brilliant views of the park from the room window. Lucky with the weather all day — no rain and reasonable temperatures (which mattered for drone work).

Ceremony, drone photography and mingling time

A lovely ceremony was followed by drone aerial shots of the venue and the park — drone images are available with all my packages, and Oddfellows / Bruntwood Park is one of the best local settings for them. Plenty of mingling time built in for guests.

Hilarious speeches and the NYE fireworks

I captured spontaneous natural moments through the very funny speeches and the dancing. Then the moment Jemma and Mark had been waiting for: the New Year’s Eve firework display. One of the best displays I’ve ever photographed — all the guests were amazed. Jemma and Mark looked on with their two children, enjoying one of the best family moments of their entire day.
