About Rookery Hall as a wedding venue
Rookery Hall is a country-house wedding venue in Cheshire. Like many of Cheshire’s historic halls, it combines period architecture with grounds and gardens that work well for outdoor photography across the seasons. The hall is licensed for civil ceremonies and runs weddings throughout the year.
Photographing weddings at Rookery Hall
Country-house venues like Rookery Hall give a wedding photographer the contrast that makes images sing — high-ceilinged interiors with large windows for natural light during the day, and gardens or parkland for portraits and group shots when the weather plays along. I work documentary-style, blending into the background so guests forget the camera, and the staff at venues like this are typically well practised at running a day smoothly. If the weather turns, there’s almost always somewhere indoors that’s equally photogenic.
What I notice when I shoot here
Rookery Hall is set on 38 acres of ground and when you visit the venue, you will be able to enjoy a spa day or even a treatment with their team. You will also find that they have won plenty of awards in the past as well and this just goes to show the level of excellence that they have to offer everyone who walks through their doors. The Rookery Hall was established in 1816 for William Hilton Cooke and it has continued to develop and evolve with the times. In 1867, a French tower was added and in 1990, they added a new wing and even a banqueting centre. The stylish bedrooms are not to be missed and it remains to be one of the best wedding venues in the area.
Of course, you could always visit the Old Stables, which have a health club, a spa, a gym and even a hydrotherapy pool. This means that you always have the chance to unwind after your wedding day and the team that work there would be more than happy to show you how you can make your day extra special. They have options suitable for ever single budget and they are one of the best when it comes to customer service. This alone helps them to provide a service better than most and they have already helped plenty of couples have their dream come true.
I have personally worked with the team at Rookery Hall and many happy couples in the past and I have many photos available from the day. You can take a look at them for yourself to get an idea of what the Rookery Hall has to offer, or you could always visit their website to see what they have to offer their visitors.
