Photographing weddings at Samlesbury Hall
Country-house venues like Samlesbury Hall give a wedding photographer the contrast that makes images sing — high-ceilinged interiors with large windows for natural light during the day, and gardens or parkland for portraits and group shots when the weather plays along. I work documentary-style, blending into the background so guests forget the camera, and the staff at venues like this are typically well practised at running a day smoothly. If the weather turns, there’s almost always somewhere indoors that’s equally photogenic.

This is a magnificent venue to host the most memorable day of your life. The intimacy of the beautiful Whittaker Room and the gorgeous setting of your own private gardens will be yours exclusively for the day at Samlesbury Hall. Together with their brilliant chef and his team, the celebration will be one to remember!
Civil Ceremonies for up to 90 can be held in the Whittaker Room, in the Great Hall for up to 120 and we also have the Parlour, which is perfect for smaller ceremonies. Wedding Breakfasts for up to 108 can be catered for in the Great Hall, or up to 150 in the Great Hall and Foyer, and more are welcome in the evening. The Hall is licensed until 12 midnight. A later licence can be obtained upon request.
