Photographing weddings at Meols Hall and Tithe Barn
Barn venues like Meols Hall and Tithe Barn are some of my favourites for natural-light wedding photography. The light through the timber frames and the surrounding fields gives a softer, warmer feel than you get inside a hotel function room. I look for the moments between the formal parts of the day — the quiet preparation, the family arrivals, the first look between the couple — and the outdoor options tend to be the highlight of the portraits. I plan around the light direction so the ceremony and the group photos both get the right exposure.
What I notice when I shoot here
The Tithe Barn is one of the finest examples of its kind in the country, this beautiful 400 year old barn has been meticulously restored by local craftsmen and retains all its original and authentic featured combined with every facility for your comfort. A further 2,000 acres teeming with wildlife are available for those of you who fancy a small (or long) stroll during your visit.
With easy access and free parking, the Tithe Barn is an excellent venue for your wedding and can cater for parties of up to 200.
