About Adlington Hall as a wedding venue
Adlington Hall is a historic stately home and wedding venue near Adlington village, around seven kilometres north of Macclesfield in the Cheshire countryside, and home to the Legh family since the 14th century. Its centrepiece is the Great Hall, built between 1480 and 1505, with a hammer-beam roof carved with angels and a famous organ — once played on by Handel — still standing between two ancient oaks rooted in the floor. Couples can choose from two indoor settings, the Great Hall and the Hunting Lodge, and two outdoor settings, the Courtyard and the Rose Garden.
