About Bramhall Hall — a distinctive Tudor manor house wedding venue in Stockport

Bramhall Hall is a distinctive black-and-white Tudor manor house in Bramhall, Stockport. The oldest parts date from the 14th century with 16th and 19th century additions; it now operates as a museum, set in 70 acres of public parkland (Bramhall Park) with duck ponds, a cafe and walking trails.

The manor of Bramall was first described in the Domesday Book in 1086, held by the Massey family. From the late 14th century the Davenports owned it, building the present house and remaining lords of the manor for around 500 years. After several ownership changes, the Hall is now owned by Stockport Council and runs regularly as a wedding venue.
