Nic and James’s Rivington Hall Barn wedding

Nic and James’s Wedding day at Rivington Hall Barn near Bolton in Lancashire was brilliant day , with 2 special visitors to the ceremony and at a brilliant venue in a beautiful setting surrounded by picturesque countryside .

However there was going to be the weather to safely negotiate, yes even in June .

I started my coverage at Nic’s local hair salon called Serenity hair and beauty www.serenitycorner.co.uk ,and I did notice the staff were all very professional and friendly . Nic had her 2 bridesmaids and they seemed to be in a relaxed mood , Then I moved on to Rivington Hall Barn to meet James and his 2 Best Men [ over 50 percent of my weddings now have 2 best men ]

I entered the Rivington Hall Barn having past the local Peacock by the front door and the barn looked amazing with all the venue dressing , there was an old bike with the seating plan attached and lots of other little touches and signs nicely placed around the barn.Purple Lighting looked perfect and lovely seat covers. http://www.rivingtonhallbarn.co.uk/

I was capturing natural moments when the start of the heavy or should I say severe heavy rain started about 1 hour before the ceremony .

Luckily it this stopped 20 mins before the ceremony and the great staff at Rivington quickly removed the puddles and the red carpet was out and ready just in time for Nic to arrive and enter the ceremony.

Then came a surprise Nic and James had decided to to have their much loved dogs Ellie and Alfie at their special day and to both walk up the aisle before Nic and watch the whole of the ceremony .

After the ceremony we decided with the weather dry to do pictures by the lake.

I did romantic images, natural images as they walked before the heavy rain came or I should say severe heavy rain which then lead to hailstone.

Nic and Jame’s guests were enjoying the wedding from under a veranda which they were very pleased about as it had just been added to Rivington barn.

But as much as it rained it stopped again !

During the meal and reception Nic and James had booked the brilliant singer John Norcott http://www.johnnorcott.co.uk/ 07951529421 I can not recommend John enough he added so much to the wedding day with his singing and personality.

there was then some very funny speeches very much at the expense of James , well he did have 2 best men to double the embarrassment !!

I did more photography outside taking advantage of the massive open fields. Nic certainly enjoyed the blue smoke .

There was lots of dancing in the evening and it seemed everyone was enjoying the evening entertainment.

I finished my day doing some night photography, something a bit different and fun.

It certainly was a pleasure to help Nic and James on their special day.
