A damp February wedding day — and a determined approach
Lois and Louise’s fab wedding day was a damp February day — but that didn’t stop our determined effort to capture genuinely great images. In fact the rain added to several of the photographs and to the natural feel of the day.
Harry Potter wedding theme and multi-coloured chairs
I first turned up to meet and chat to both Lois and Louise while they were decorating the venue room with a Harry Potter theme — scarves and characters from the films on the tables, a multi-coloured ceremony room with chairs in different colours. The curtains in the main suite had fairy lights, and the cake in black had brilliant floral decoration.
Both brides in suits, walking down the aisle together
Both brides decided to wear suits and walk to the ceremony room together. Plenty of excitement and anticipation in the air.
Emotional ceremony
The ceremony was emotional — especially for family watching in the background. I have to admit again how lucky I am in my job to meet so many lovely and happy couples; this was certainly one of those wedding days.
Sophia the Saxophonist
After the ceremony we were all treated to Sophia the Saxophonist — brilliant; she really adds atmosphere and gets very involved on the dance floor in the evening. Highly recommend.
Lake portraits despite the rain
We got out for the important pictures and I have to thank Lois and Louise for just getting on with it — like they had on their pre-wedding shoot. The lake at Moddershall Oaks gave us some standout couple portraits despite the weather.
Heartfelt mum speeches
After the photos and lots of mingling time it was time for the speeches — all heartfelt; both mums delivered well-thought-out speeches.
Dancing, Sophia on Sax and the evening
Later on we had more photos and dancing, with Sophia on Sax. A pleasure to help Lois and Louise on their wedding day.
