Laura and Neil’s wedding day at Peckforton Castle

Bridal prep at Peckforton Castle

I first met up with Laura at Peckforton Castle for bridal prep with her bridesmaids and family — a very happy and excited atmosphere with so much going on. Hair and makeup in full flow, with a special mention to Charlotte — always good to meet people who are great at their job and friendly with it. Dom from Impressions Wedding Video in Formby (where my younger brother lives) was also there for the first time — a brilliant friendly videographer.

The Dysart Pub in Bunbury — Neil and the kids

Then I was off to The Dysart Pub in Bunbury to find Neil (naturally) and his kids and close family. Plenty of natural moments before the ceremony.

Picturesque Bunbury Church

Bunbury Church itself is very picturesque — the central point of the village and a photogenic backdrop. I gained lovely natural images of guests walking up, and the bride arrived in her wedding car with her veil down — looking wow.

One of the nicest priests in 23 years of weddings

After a lovely ceremony from one of the nicest priests I’ve met in over 23 years of capturing weddings, it was time for the return journey to Peckforton Castle — a place that doesn’t have to try to be beautiful on the eye.

Stefan the Tall Toastmaster

Laura and Neil were greeted and well looked after by Stefan the Tall Toastmaster — certainly one of the best in the North West. Excellent at liaising with all the wedding suppliers and looking after the bride and groom.

Photo spots, the wedding breakfast and the Singing Waiters

Peckforton Castle is full of photo spots — I captured so many images that would look great in their Storybook. During the wedding breakfast, the Singing Waiters were a treat — both with awesome voices. Their entrance surprised the guests and created an amazing atmosphere.

“Rick photographed our wedding in February and honestly we could not have asked for a better person to capture our special day! Rick’s attention to detail is spectacular, his photographs are stunning and he offers the very best service from start to finish. Rick is such a really nice and friendly person who made us feel relaxed throughout the day and kept us smiling, all the while being extremely professional and catching us at our most natural and happiest. His experience is next to none. We would highly recommend Rick to anyone looking for a photographer to capture their memories.”
