Bridal prep on Easter Sunday

I arrived early to see the lovely decor in the wedding-breakfast room with vintage bunting. Then bridal prep with Emma, her Mum, niece and three bridesmaids — happy atmosphere, lovely dress backdrops, no rain (a relief on Easter Sunday).

Ceremony with benches not chairs

The Owens House Farm ceremony room is purpose-built with benches — distinctive feel. Highlight: Emma’s determination during the ring exchange to eventually place Mat’s ring on the correct finger. Lots of laughs.

Barn portraits and bubbles

The Barn was a personal favourite backdrop — brilliant for couple and group portraits. Bubbles for the formals.

Speeches, fire and smoke night images

Emma is a school head teacher; Mat a primary school deputy head. When Mat opened his speech with “good afternoon everyone”, all the guests loudly chorused back “good afternoon Mr Ransom”. Brilliant. Fire and smoke effects in the evening produced some properly industrial-feel black-and-white night images.
