Corinna and Isaac’s wedding at Foxtail Barns on the Consall Hall Gardens Estate in Staffordshire was emotional, beautiful and an absolute privilege to photograph. Foxtail Barns sits in an exclusive area of the 70-acre Consall Hall Gardens Estate in Consall, Staffordshire — now home to The Tawny Hotel. It’s one of the best venues I’ve had the pleasure to photograph at: luxury, exclusive, and built thoughtfully for weddings.

Corinna and Isaac’s wedding day at Foxtail Barns

A pre-wedding shoot and a venue visit

Corinna and Isaac and I had a pre-wedding shoot together, a planning meeting (and a lot of conversations about dogs — we’re all dog owners). I’d also visited Foxtail Barns ahead of time to walk the grounds and plan key shots. With this kind of venue, having that prior knowledge really pays off.

Bridal prep at Foxtail Barns

The package included my second shooter Rachel, who stayed with Isaac and the guests while I covered Corinna’s bridal prep. Foxtail Barns has a brilliant mirror-lined prep room — we also stole a few minutes in the grounds for some early portraits before any of the guests had arrived.

An emotional ceremony in the Orangery

This was a very emotional wedding day. Isaac looked momentarily overwhelmed at the top of the aisle, supported by his uncle and best man, as Corinna walked up the aisle with her proud Dad. There were tears everywhere. The Orangery — flooded with light — made the ceremony feel both intimate and bright.

Vows on the bridge and walled garden portraits

After the confetti shower (which was epic), Corinna and Isaac exchanged additional vows on the picturesque bridge at Foxtail Barns. We had multiple camera angles there, then moved to the walled gardens and the pagoda for couple and group photography.

Wedding breakfast, speeches and the evening

The wedding breakfast in the purpose-built reception room was beautiful, the speeches were heartfelt, and the evening turned into a brilliant dance-floor session.
