Bridal prep in Clitheroe
The day started in Clitheroe with Clair, her Mum and two bridesmaids — a beautiful wedding dress, makeup and hair in full flow, the bouquet arriving. Calm, relaxed atmosphere.
Catholic ceremony at The Sacred Heart Church, Colne
The Sacred Heart Church in Colne where Peter grew up has beautiful interiors. I met Peter the groom, best man Peter, and Father Peter — three Peters, one ceremony. A lovely service.
Edisford Bridge stop and Bashall Barn portraits
On the way to Bashall Barn we stopped at Edisford Bridge over the River Ribble for additional couple portraits. Then on to Bashall Barn — and I met the friendly farm staff and the cows (well, it’s a farm). The hills around the venue gave us breathtaking backdrops for natural and romantic images.
Speeches, night shots and full-day coverage
Coverage ran from 10am to 10pm. The speeches were brilliantly funny — concentration on the job was hard. Night shots and dancing wrapped up a memorable Lancashire wedding day.
