Charlotte and Morgan’s Epic Halloween Wedding Day at Norton Priory Museum
Charlotte and Morgan’s Halloween wedding at Norton Priory Museum in Runcorn was one of the most photogenic, creative weddings I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. The black-with-orange Halloween theme worked beautifully against the medieval architecture — and Charlotte and Morgan were brilliant to work with. As your Cheshire and North West wedding photographer, I love a venue that lets me get this creative.

About Norton Priory Museum — a 900-year-old historic wedding venue in Runcorn, Cheshire
Norton Priory Museum is steeped in 900 years of history in Runcorn, Cheshire — easily reached from Liverpool, Manchester and Chester. Founded in 1134, it reached mitred abbey status in 1391. The Dutton family supported the priory up to the Dissolution in 1536; the Brooke family made it their home from 1545 to 1921.
- Grade I listed Medieval Undercroft — atmospheric ceremony space
- Grade II listed Georgian Loggia
- Walled Garden Band Stand
- Contemporary Museum Atrium
- Excavated archaeological remains of the medieval monastic complex
- Acres of woodland and walled gardens for photography
I’ve photographed many weddings at Norton Priory — it’s one of the most unique wedding venues in the North West.
Charlotte and Morgan’s wedding day at Norton Priory Museum
A Halloween black-and-orange theme that worked beautifully
Charlotte and Morgan went all-in on a Halloween wedding day — black with orange accents through the bridesmaids, florals, ties and details. Against the medieval Norton Priory backdrop the photography looked unlike anything else in my Cheshire gallery.
Ceremony in the atmospheric Undercroft
The Grade I listed Medieval Undercroft is one of the most atmospheric ceremony spaces in the country — 900 years of history and the sense of place make every image feel weighted.
Walled gardens, woodland and archaeological remains
After the ceremony we worked the grounds — the walled gardens, the excavated medieval remains, the woodland — picking up textures and backdrops you don’t get at any other Cheshire wedding venue.
Wedding breakfast, speeches and the evening
The wedding breakfast and speeches were warm and the evening reception turned into a brilliant celebration.
Thank you Charlotte and Morgan — congratulations to you both, and thank you for letting me be properly creative on your wedding day.
