Ashleigh and Andrew’s Didsbury House Wedding in Manchester was a fantastic and memorable wedding.
The venue well named as a House gives a friendly warm and intimate atmosphere and literally everyone who was at Didsbury House was there as a guest or member of staff , there to help Ashleigh and Andrew on their Wedding day .
The mirrors, smaller rooms and baths give a different feel to what most other venues have, and I arrived to meet Ashleigh and her Bridesmaids very well organised with their hair and Make up well underway.
And a happy bubbly atmosphere. I just blended into the background .
Ashleigh was a beautiful bride and she had a very elegant dress from White Gallery in Ramsbottom . Also Unique blue bridal shoes from Manola Blahnik which I found very interesting as their wedding was on the same day as the Manchester Derby and Ashleigh’s Family supported the blues and Andrew’s family the reds . I prayed for a draw then no one was unhappy at the wedding .
After photographing Andrew with his TWO Best Men which has now for me become very normal now in modern weddings , Andrew also had some very uniquely engraved watches. A great keepsake of the day .
The ceremony entrance by Ashleigh was a very emotional one and the ceremony a very happy one with boppers at the moment the registrar said ” you may now kiss your bride.”
We went to a park for some pictures and found some lovely autumn colours for those romantic pictures which was easy for me to capture with such a happy couple , I was lucky again with the weather and we walked back using the Pelican Crossing, not that we needed to as traffic literally stopped and let Ashleigh and Andrew cross with the traffic lights on green for the cars .
We came back for some more relaxed pictures including Ashleigh and Andrew’s pet dog called Wilson , an old tyme English bulldog. Very Lively !
The reception was a very relaxed with a barbecue and what I was looking forward to the Speeches on the staircase [ not at a traditional long table ] at Didsbury House with the bride and groom half way up the stairs near the speakers and guests going up the stairs and at the bottom. This was really great to see and very funny to hear .
The evening had one of my favourite DJ’s Andy Murphy http://www.andymurphydj.co.uk/ he is one of the best .
Also a fun bouquet toss and a very happy winner !
It certainly was a pleasure to help Ashleigh and Andrew on their Wedding day at Didsbury House.
