Pre-wedding shoot at Dunham Massey

Having met Alison and Andrew on their pre-wedding shoot at Dunham Massey, I knew it was going to be a great wedding.

Bridal prep at Cottons Hotel and Spa

I started my coverage with bridal prep at Cottons Hotel and Spa near Knutsford — a venue that has recommended me for years and which I know inside out. Alison’s daughters were the bridesmaids and the busy, happy atmosphere of bridal prep was at full tilt. There was even some Disney music in the background — lots of smiles and excitement.

Catholic ceremony at St Mary’s, Middlewich

After bridal prep I left to meet Andrew and the men at St Mary’s R.C. Church in Middlewich, which had blue skies above and a friendly church choir. Alison arrived with her brother in her beautiful dress from Cherish Bridal in Northwich, with bridesmaids in beautiful pink.

Outside the church — and the butterflies

After a friendly church wedding ceremony I shot some images outside the church — the highlight being a moment with some butterflies.

Lakes and farm fields couple portraits

I left with the couple in their fantastic car to a couple of photo spots I had earlier checked out. Lakes and farm fields make a great backdrop to summer wedding images — and that’s part of my job, checking out good nearby photogenic spots. We also used a new romantic photo area at Cottons Hotel.

Verandah Suite, speeches and dancing

It was then time for the reception in the Verandah Suite — very professionally decorated by Perfect Weddings in Altrincham. The speeches were funny and heartfelt, and there was plenty of time for the couple to enjoy their day. In the evening there was lots of dancing before the end of coverage.
