Alex and Phil booked a pre-wedding shoot ahead of the day — it’s a low-pressure way to get comfortable in front of the camera and helps build the rapport that delivers better wedding images.

Bridal prep and the Verandah Suite ceremony

The morning was a hive of busy excitement; Alex’s dress was beautiful. The Verandah Suite at Cottons — expertly dressed by Perfect Weddings of Altrincham — scales from 60-70 guests up to over 130, and Alex and Phil’s ceremony filled it beautifully. Alex’s dad’s emotional entrance, and tears from Phil’s daughter (a bridesmaid) during the reading, gave the ceremony real warmth.

After the ceremony we headed to one of my favourite Cottons photo spots for a walk in the fresh air, then the formal group shots the couple wanted with important family. Plenty of mingling time built in.
